OK ... I don't really live in a big house. I don't even have a house. Old Speedcat lives in a moderate townhouse that is on the small side.
I am neither a blogging machine, and consider myself more of a newbie - even though it has been over two years since I published my very first post.
My interests were never in become a "successful blogger", nor has it ever been my intention to create revenue while pounding out material into the keyboard. I never really had an intention of any kind. This is just a fun hobby to me ... something that is a stress reducer, and an outlet for creativity. Many posts I have created have been quite humorous, others somewhat bland. It's hard to come up with fantastic ideas on a daily basis. I don't think anyone really can!
So, what's it all about, this on-line thing we do??
I like the "camaraderie" bloggers have for one another. Even though it's hard to visit a ton of blogs each week, I think we all have a respect for one another, and see an avatar not just as a small picture, but as a valued contact.
This blog will mark 14.
"14 what??"
14 blogs that I have posted on. I have 7 of my own and co-write on 7 more.
That's a lot!!
I have been very leery about joining another co-authored blog because of what happened at the Santa blogs. What really happened there is still perplexing to me, and I still do not understand exactly what really transpired. I also went through an entire blog makeover, and had to start from scratch because of a security leak injecting "not so friendly" pop up ads on my site. That experience was nerve-racking and very upsetting. For the life of me, I just cannot understand why people would intentionally create havoc with something that has been a major project to another.
I see it like a painting .... a piece of "art" that you have worked on for years. Then, someone comes in and tears it to shreds.
SO, there you have it. My own thoughts on what is wonderful about blogging, and others that make me a bit nervous.
Thank you Kim for inviting me here! It is always an honor to be included at a new blog.
My schedule is extremely random, so I may write here infrequently at some points, and like a windmill the next! Last week was 75 hours on the clock ... way to much for me. I begged for Sunday off, and man-o-man am I enjoying my day away from work.
Here is a Google map of my hometown ... If you look closely, you can see me waving back at you from the ground :-)
See you next time,
Your pal in Hollydale ...
Speedy Cat
